Trezien

The Trezien lighthouse, located in the commune of Plouarzel in the Pays d'Iroise region, where the Atlantic Ocean and English Channel meet off the tip of Corsen, the most westerly point of mainland France. Standing 500 m from the shore, the 37.20-metre-high tower has been providing a safe passage through the Chenal du Four for over a hundred years. This is the main navigation route for heavy-duty boats daring to sail between the islands and the mainland. After climbing 182 steps, visitors have access to a breathtaking panorama, from the Saint-Mathieu lighthouse to the Four lighthouse, from the islands of the Mer d'Iroise to the tip of Corsen, home to the regional maritime rescue center, Cross Corsen.

If you are in any way responsible for one or more lighthouses, you can contact us to have these lighthouses included on this website. The goal is to have as many lighthouses from all coastal nations in Europe placed on the map, so that many visitors can enjoy navigating the map or physically visiting the lighthouse stations.
