Sletterhage Fyr

The lighthouse Sletterhage Fyr was built in 1894 as a sector light. It is active today and guides the ship through the 42-meter-deep passage to the port of Aarhus. Denmark’s biggest port. In 2009 a volunteer association took over the administration of the buildings. It counts 450 members and is administered by a board of directors of 7. Visitors can see a maritime exhibition and climb to the top for an entrance fee of DKK 25,-. Sletterhage lighthouse in open every day in June, July and August and weekends in April, May, September and October. Adults pay DKK 25,- and children are free of charge.
