Espiguette

Recognizable by its square shape and its black color visible from the sea, the Espiguette Lighthouse has been illuminating our coast and guiding sailors for over 150 years, with a range of 24 miles (45 km) and its revolving light flashing three grouped white bursts every 15 seconds.

Over time, due to waves and coastal silting, the lighthouse, originally installed 155 meters from the sea, is now 700 meters from the shore. A precious element of the maritime heritage of Grau du Roi, the Espiguette Lighthouse is located in the heart of a natural area benefiting from numerous environmental protections.

If you are in any way responsible for one or more lighthouses, you can contact us to have these lighthouses included on this website. The goal is to have as many lighthouses from all coastal nations in Europe placed on the map, so that many visitors can enjoy navigating the map or physically visiting the lighthouse stations.
